see how I told my boss to take this job and shove it!
Spraaaaaang Breaaaaaaaaak is just around the corner. That means a lot of us are going to be traveling for at least one week over the next few months. A great cheap flight or travel deal may well be the deciding factor in where to go. Get the sunblock ready, it’s time to plan for some fun, sun, and… maybe some rum?
Below are some of the best deals on cheap flights and travel packages right now. These are the sites and Twitter feeds that you should be following and setting up alerts for. Prices will vary. Sales will pass quickly. You’ve gotta shop hard and act fast. Good luck out there and happy travels!
KAYAK’S HACKER GUIDE
Kayak just released a new algorithm to track the best and cheapest flights month by month called the 2018 Travel Hacker Guide. They went through and crunched millions and millions of flights and found the best domestic deals in the US for under $200 and the best international deals for under $400. Then they broke everything down by month so you can find the best prices at the best times. Hopper has done something similar as well.
It’s a lifesaver if you’re looking for the best flight prices and are willing to take a risk and go somewhere completely new.
SECRET FLYING
Secret Flying has some steals this week. There’s a flight from the East Coast all the way to Cali for $89 roundtrip on United — which is a super cheap way to get across the whole country.
Another great ticket is a roundtrip from Vegas to Shanghai for only $450. That’s less than 500 bucks to spend this Spring Break enjoying the amazing food, sites, and wonders of China.
Maybe China is a little too far for a week this spring, then Hawaii might be the best alternative. Right now, you can score a roundtrip flight from PDX to all over Hawaii for as little as $372 roundtrip. Aloha!
AIRASIA DEALS
While Spring Breakers are reveling on the beaches of Florida, Thailand will erupt in the festival of all things water — Songkran. It’s a bucket list must stop for any intrepid wanderluster. Air Asia is offering flights for $21 each way from Malaysia to Thailand for the fest. So, if you’re already in the Far East, this is the time to hit Thailand for a great, wet time.
Air Asia also has great sales on their “Premium Flatbed” class on flights all over Asia from India to Australia. You can get from KL to Kathmandu in what is basically first class for $188 each way. Bali is only $122 each way. Those are amazing deals.
WOWAIR
Fancy a little Eurotrip for Spring Break? Check out Wowair and snag a roundtrip to Europe for $99 and let the rest follow. Flight prices go up if you’re flying from the West Coast. Otherwise, there are a lot of options to choose from in the $99-$149 range all over Europe.
If you think Florida is fun for Spring Break … wait until you see Amsterdam or Berlin.
FRONTIER $20 DEALS
You don’t have to go halfway around the world for a great trip. Frontier is offering $20 flights all over America over the next couple months. That’s 20 bucks to get you to Florida, NOLA, Cali, or wherever that Spring Break fever draws you.
SOUTHWEST $59 DEALS
Frontier can be a bit … rustic. So Southwest might be more your speed. They’re offering fares for as low as $59 one way (with a lot of the fares are closer to $100) all over America, the Caribbean, and Mexico.
20 PERCENT OFF U by UNIWORLD CRUISES
U by Uniworld is about to launch right as Spring Break kicks in, which is perfect timing. The Euro river cruises are geared for the 21-45 crowd and offer great bars, dining, rooms, and dope excursions along their sailing routes. If you can book before February 28th, you’ll get 20 percent off and a $50 onboard credit (probably best spent on a massage).
COSTSAVER SPRING BREAK DEALS
The name is all in the title. CostSaver has great deals on trips all over the world. These are package tours where all you have to do is show up. Meals, accommodations, transfers, tours ready and waiting and completely customizable to your whims. Check out their website to score the best deals for trips that’ll only cost you $100 per day plus $100 off flights in many cases (once you calculate a four or five-star hotel, dinner, and tour, you’ll be hard-pressed to spend less than that on your own).
